2026 16U Boys club season

The Berkeley Water Polo Club is a spinoff from 680. Most of the players are from the Easy Bay. However, two of the top players (Storm and Chase Jackson) will attend Redwood High School in Marin County in the fall. Storm Jackson (Redwood High School Class of 2028) and Jasper Feldman (Tamalpais High School Class of 2028) played for the PAC Red youth team that won the 2026 ODP National Championships. Watch out for Redwood during the 2026 high school season. They have been invited to participate in the North vs. South Challenge for the first time.

Re: Berkeley 16s…according to one of the BWPC parents, their 2nd year 16s on this team, the core came over from 680 and that group has been together for 6 years…

And looking back at results its a perennial top 5 team

2022 - 12u - 5th Place at JOs

2024 - 14u - 5th Place JOs

2026 - 16u - ??? but they are definitely good.

Berkeley also has another very good 2028 in Drew Vella. He attends Monte Vista. Left side attacker with a potent outside shot.

680 (now Berkeley) always matched up well with the best teams in the age group, seems they have added a few players and are the team to beat now. They just beat SD Shores to win the Newport Invite.

16Us should be wide open this summer. Berkeley, SD Shores (did not have standout Hanrui Liu at the Newport Invite), SD Dons, Newport, Channel Islands, Stanford, La Jolla United, and Lamorinda should be in the mix. If LA Premier brings down Harry Siafaris and William Gorsche, they would be stout as well.

Mission too, if they play their 16s in 16s.

seems like a lot of clubs are in this position where they are playing their 16s in 18u. will be fun to watch this summer if the 16s play in the 16u division. 14u JOs two years ago had some really great games in the quarters/semis. I’m doubtful they will all play 16u but i hope i am wrong.
