Don’t see how Bell takes it when they haven’t beaten Mitty or Serra all season. Bellarmine finished the season last in WCAL.
and they didn’t have a single win against anyone in the CCS section. Their wins were all outside of CCS.
don’t know much about Leigh, but how did they get a D1 matchup with Mitty?
From what I heard they finished fourth in their league tournament. That is how I assume they got in since they are 6-15 and have a better strength of schedule/head to head/significant wins than Milpitas to be 7th rather than 8th.
Leigh got the last CCS Spot by beating Branham to make BVAL semifinals. Top 4 in BVAL make tournament.

You get those first round matchups at times. Higher seeded team don’t care for it but lower seeded happy to get invited to the dance.
This is debatable. Sure it’s the prestige open but then you’re gonna get killed the first day and season is over.
There should be less automatics and more at-large births. Maybe just the league champs get a birth and the rest are at-large decided by the CCS committee.
On the boys side there are two at large. Seems both went to WCAL teams (Bellarmine and Saint Ignatius, is my guess since they finished bottom of the league).
Yes both at larges went to Bell and SI, outside of the league winners not many other teams have a case for the at larges
