@wpwednesday Looking forward to getting a look at the stats tracking spreadsheet you refer to at min. 46! Stat geeks gonna geek out on stats, after all.
I just wanted to shout out the CB Water Polo app developed by one of the founders of Water Polo Exchange. I have used the app to track all the stats presented in that spreadsheet and it gets my vote for best app for tracking stats.
We are able to get to the nuance you can see here because of the functions that CB has that I haven’t found available or as easy to track in others. Also, Clark is very responsive to feedback and actively works to make the app better based on that feedback.
I look forward to Wes releasing the data for all of you and hearing your thoughts. Please feel free to ask me any questions about the app, my workflow to track stats or anything else that comes up.
Another great episode! I loved the recommendation during the interview with Dylan Woodhead to watch the Americans who are playing overseas in the pro leagues on Overnght.com. Is it possible for someone to post (maybe in the International category) a list of who’s playing for which clubs?

great episode and thank you for all you do! will 18u semi games be at Servite as a lead-in to Open division semis? hopefully so…
Yes they will be, and the 18u placement games will also be set-up as lead-ins to the open level placement games.
Games conflicts aside, there is very little reason why every aspiring polo player 18U and down in the region is not at the semis and/or finals of national league. Call to arms for all coaches of said players to encourage and self-organize to attend. Represent your club / school, see some great polo, meet some amazing athletes…
Some ideas in addition to the BBQ and Beverages..
- 50-50 draw for a local charity
- half court shot contests
- player autograph signing after with players cards
- recognizing top club for spirit
- players of the match
These are GREAT ideas.
We are pushing for “Player of the Match” for the semi finals and beyond.
We are also hoping that club coaches are pushing their 18u athletes and parents to go watch semi finals at Servite as those tend to be the best games.
Keep the ideas coming and be sure to reach out to your local clubs to let them know about this event!
Great episode guys. Love the effort you are putting into promoting the men’s NL. Servite games should be a lot of fun, since I really doubt you will be able to sell beer at Woolett for the finals. At Servite, is there going to be a type of ‘beer garden’ or will we be able to take the beer to our seats and watch the games?
Player of the match award is a great idea.
Getting local sponsorships from business would be awesome. I know time is short, but an incentive like “hey bring us a sponsor and you get a free beer and entry”
Thru the power of social media, there has to be business owners out there around Servite, that have a waterpolo background or connection, and would love to promote their business with some thing like a banner or ad on a program.
And of course, what better way to make it really fun, if we could have color coded smoke flares to match team colors. Dubrovnik would have nothing on us 
If you have a business willing to sponsor, we will absolutely give them a drink ticket and a meal ticket, no question!
Love the ideas tho, absolutely.
There will be a beer garden area which will include the parking lot and the pool deck as we will be using plastic cups. There will also be cocktail tables set up just inside the gate to stand at, watch the game and eat/drink.
The colored smoke……. Now that’s interesting.
