For the next episode, I suggest interviewing Max Irving or Ashley Johnson on the challenges they have encountered in their journey to reach the pinnacle of success in a sport dominated by non people of color.

We need to, as a community, drive eyeballs to your content as engaged consumers of water polo content.
I think we can all agree that women’s sports is having a renaissance across many disciplines. If it would be helpful I’m sure many in this community would be happy to be a guest to discuss WWP with more direct knowledge.

I can’t imagine Adam Wright allowing one of his athletes to play for another club team during the off-season.

Adam is lucky if Ryder decides to go back to UCLA rather than heading off to Europe to play top clubs getting ready for the Olympics!

It’s a professional league with prize money. It will be interesting to see if we get a bidding war for talent.

I am pretty sure you are still not allowed to be paid to play water polo and be college eligible. Guessing there are a lot of ways around this: camps, NIL deals, etc..but technically, AFAIK, playing and getting paid for that are still not allowed.
Every basketball and football player in college are getting paid millions and millions I’m sure there is a way around for a very few elite waterpolo players to get paid ~50-75K without someone getting all riled up about it
There’s no way LAAC is paying anywhere close to that. Maybe 10%.
