Congrats on the new season, and thanks for all the work you guys put into this. The Mercury Awards are awesome! Since you asked for content ideas on the opening podcast, I’d love to hear a high school season preview, maybe bringing on one of the really knowledgeable guys from this board to break down the teams and players to watch. Would also be great to hear from the Youth and/or Cadet coaches about the World Championship tournaments this summer and their takeaways from playing at that level.

Great insights into Fordham. Coach Bacharach makes interesting points about the challenges of rebuilding after the 32-1 season in 2024. 18 of the 24 players on this upcoming season’s team were not on the 2024 team. 7 of those 18 are 6’5" or taller, so adding length looks like a priority. The team looks youngish on paper, but has lots of guys with U16-U20 national team experience. Two trips out west get them more experience against MPSF teams. I see them in the mix again.

Love the new awards, and the Fordham preview has me interested to watch their games. As for ideas, we hear a lot about adjustments players need to make to adjust to different officiating between college and international play. How about interviewing some referees with experience in both about differences in the rules and differences in expectations about the rules should be called?

Good episode, thanks. Rooting for Coach Carrasco to have a successful second season. Love how they’ve recruited the goalie position: De Souza in the short term and Malone for the long term. Big fan of Owen Malone! Credit to LMU for scheduling most of the Big West teams on top of their WCC schedule.
