Is there a different or updated link that shows the results?
The One Drive link is updating with scores. The Google Docs one is not.
Or the One Drive on the a futures site : [LINK]
Do other people experience issues with GOLS? livestream freezes frequently, screen turns black, other. I am trying to watch the Woollett games. @GameOnLiveStudio – what’s going on? we are three people in three different parts of the world (Europe, Asia, and USA) trying to watch the games and it is impossible.
Yes. Constant freezes, and I have to think the issue is at the server end. Woollett is the easiest venue to steam from. With the cell towers in the back parking lot and 5g towers all along the freeway, I routinely get 400Mbs down and north of 100Mbs up from there.
If it were only Beckman that is freezing, then that could be the venue. Beckman is miserable to stream from, but not Woollett.
Pro tip (for me at least) click and hold the link and open the one drive document in a new/separate tab. It seems to bypass Microsoft login issues on my phone.
Are the replays at least available afterward (not live)? Seems like if they are recording on site (as well as streaming) then adding buffer could resolve the issue. Logic tells me that to be able to charge a thousand bucks or more for a highlight package they have to be recording.
I noticed with GOLS, the app is way better. The feed comes in more clearer then it does on the browser. Alot less pixelation. Not sure about today’s streams, but it’s helped in the past.
GOLS is unwatchable. Really hate to be a complainer but to pay for this is brutal. The App is no better.
Unfortunately it really comes down to which pool you get. The announcers are so different. I get how tough it must be with this many pools, but it is the business they signed up for.
It really is not watchable, for $30 I do expect to be able to watch the game regardless of the announcers which they’re pretty awesome and they’re trying hard, but the streaming is terrible.
@GameOnLiveStudio @GameOnLiveStudio, I’m not sure why you haven’t responded to the issues raised above. That’s your reputation, and it’s inexcusable not to test the streaming and check it in real-time. That’s just sloppy.
I do think you should issue a significant percentage refund.
The responsibility also falls on the organizers of Futures. .
Agree with others on this. I’ve been trying to watch the top 18s today at Newport’s pool and it’s literally unwatchable with the constant lags and pauses. Not helping the GOLS brand which I’m usually a huge fan of.
Unrelated, apropos sloppiness.
World aquatics main app for tracking the 18u world tournament. Find the typo….
I, for one, look forward to the ritualistic roasting of each team.
And back to 18U Futures and the design of the tournament. The top 12 advantage has worked ‘by design’, and no team beat the exhaustion of multiple games against rested teams in games with what appear to be larger score differentials.
The roasting event might take place over launch.
Team roasting must continue until morale improves! Haha
But seriously, regarding the structure of Futures Superfinals, the odds of a lower 12 team winning it all has to be insanely low. I don’t know how to calculate that exactly. But I am pretty sure that so far between girls and boys Superfinals where the top/bottom 12 structure is utilized, not a single lower 12 team has even made it past the quarterfinals, if any have even made it that far.
I do like the creativity and mixing it up, especially to try to incentivize playing well in the regular season league. But I think I like JO’s schedule better right now. There’s still the bonus of getting to play less games and rest by winning, similar to Superfinals, but there’s a little more of a balanced “backdoor” opportunity.
