Most of the top 18U Boys will be there couple of weeks before JOs. Missing: Newport, Lamorinda, LA Premier, and Stanford.

Is there a ‘bounty’ this year as well for the top 3 teams?
Thought I saw on different thread that Newport summer invite is same dates as quicksilver. Is that right? Maybe those teams are playing in the invite?

Those were the teams at the invite last year, seems HS teams, and there is an overlap with the teams that are not on the Quicksilver list.
Is this the final list?

Not sure the list has changed but this is the LINK to participating teams.
It seems the tournament will be seeded based on Futures Super Finals results.

Thank you. It looks like a great tournament.
Futures and JOs have seeding formats that take into account what a club was doing 4 to 12 months ago. Thats not ideal. Also, a lot of the heavy hitters in 18u were gone for Futures and 16u is going to take a hit for JOs.
Quicksilver could be the best tournament of the year based on teams attending, athletes attending, and the fair and immediate way it was seeded.
Looks like most of the top 10 teams are playing in many age divisions. Maybe a few elite players won’t be there in a division but theoretically Quicksilver could have the highest # of elite players. And because each age division is limited there isn’t the frantic confusion with hundreds of games.
This looks like a great tournament.

This is such a great tournament from the atmosphere to the fact it is a final test and tune before JOs.

I am assuming that Mission will be sending their senior team to quicksilver and La Jolla will have Dexter Black back from worlds. That is a very interesting group.
No international teams this year? Thats a change.
My guess would be the timing of U18 Worlds made securing an international team much harder this year.

I think that is a fair assumption. I wonder if that explains teams doing Newport Invite too so some teams can rest the guys that are in Portugal from Dons, Newport, etc since it is a HS team tournament if I understand it right. Asking a lot to come back from a couple weeks over there and go straight into a 4 day tournament.

I can’t find it. I would suggest starting another thread on it and ask there, which will keep this thread from getting hijacked by that tournament.
