We have the second higher level tournament of the season coming up this weekend with the Patriot Fall Games.
There’s a 10u division where the top 3 of last year’s boys JOs will see eachother. We also have two divisions of 14u boys with good teams and good competitions.

My prediction is that Del Mar will win the 10u division over Patriot and Mission streamrolling the 14u division. I hope to be proven dead wrong in public of course!
Patriot Invite 14u D1 should be interesting. Just six teams in D1. 4 teams: Newport, Mission, La Jolla United, and Vanguard look to be the cream of the crop. I haven’t seen LA Premier and Patriot but imagine they are also top level teams. Do any of these teams have 8th graders that will be ineligible for 14s JOs? I only know of the Vanguard goalie.
Did anyone catch games at Patriot Invite?
Didn’t you just say on the other thread that you were at every single one of the games? 
Yes. I wanted to see if anyone else had some takeaways.
Newport and La Jolla are big. They’ll have bodies to throw come JO time. Vanguard and Mission looked very solid and lost in good games. Patriot looked a little off, but they fought hard and if they continue to improve they will be back in the mix by the end of the season. Good field and solid enough polo at this time of the year.
In the 10u division Del Mar Boys, Patriot and Newport stood out. Del Mar has shooters, Patriot has speed and Newport has size. Del Mar beat Newport 12-4 in a game where Newport’s starters were even with Del Mar’s. They both subbed a lot, great for this time of year at the 10u level. Tomorrow Patriot plays both and we will know they stack up.

La Jolla looks great. They have size, quality defense and numbers. Newport is close to them, and will improve their shooting a lot. They have some guys that didn’t shoot open chances that will later in the season. Mission and Vanguard are scrappy and are well coached but are missing some size down low. Patriot is clawing but needs more of this level competition to be able to hang for more than 2 quarters.

Del Mar looks great again. Their nr 3 rolled Patriot and Newport basically by himself. Newport has a legit set of starters. If they stay coed they’re favorites for that division (in October). Patriot is searching for playmaking. They’re super tiny.
