Why is thefosh keeping totally inaccurate stats and then having those stats used as leader boards and awards?
They are clearly using a poor version of AI with no human oversight. WHY?
Also, why di they have no contact information or social media feedback?
Insanely impressive 17–4 win for Davis over Brown and playing at Brown as well. A win like this has to give the team a ton of confidence heading into tomorrow’s matchup v. Fordham.

WP Wednesday has CBU ranked 6th. I’d say Harvard playing them close is a sign that the east isn’t far off the “next tier down” pack
I’d just say it was kind of wild for WPW to have CBU ranked ahead of Davis, Pepperdine, LBSU, SJSU, and Princeton. CBU is in the 11-13 range for me, and I had them at 11 in my publicly available poll. But I do agree with you generally.

In all curiousness, why do you have Princeton ranked so high at 7?? Over LB, SJ, Pepperdine, CBU, SD, and Pacific. Do you think the coach leaving will have any impact?

Cal has its ups and downs… a lot. They need to be more consistent. Very similar to Fordham
But yes, I do agree with you that Princeton will easily beat Brown and Harvard again this year given what we have seen so far…

Agreed. They are honestly the worst. They seem to rely almost entirely on the kids working the table, and the accuracy is all over the place. Assists and steals are constantly missed or credited to the wrong number. If these stats are going to be used for leaderboards and awards, there needs to be some level of review and accountability.
Another thing that causes weird results early in the season is which goalies play - especially in tournaments, where many coaches do not have their goalies play twice on the same day. It’s also telling when you look at which goalies get the highest quality games, as it provides some indicator as to which goalie the coach trusts more right now.
Brown got slaughtered with their stud Greek goalie on the bench. Harvard lost to cal bap with their freshman playing, and then swapped goalies at halftime vs. Air Force to get him back in the game. Air Force only beat MIT by 3 with Pyle in and then lost to Harvard by 1 with their freshman from Oregon.
I’m sure there are plenty more examples, but it’s always fascinating to see how goalies are used early on and how it is affecting the scoreboard.
Guessing you west coast folks are still in bed, but watching Harvard-Pacific, tied 3-3 early in the 2nd. Pacific looks a lot less sharp. Not sure if that’s fatigue, that Harvard is better than many think, or perhaps that Fordham is not. Hard to tell much from one quarter of 9 am water polo when both teams played 2 games yesterday. Both teams seemed sharper yesterday.
The early Sunday morning games of a multi-day tournament often get sloppy.
Yup. Pacific in control for most of the second half. Always in the lead, by as much as 3. Harvard got to 12-11 with a 7-6 goal with 8 seconds left, but the game was not that close.
6-8 stats also odd. In the Pacific-Fordham game, every shooter for both teams was 100%; there were a total 9 goalie saves; no assists; and 2 blocked shots–none from Fordham.
I noticed something similar in many games yesterday. That shooting percentages are way off, which tells me they have lazy stat keepers at Brown only tracking partial stats. I don’t think they are keeping any public stats at the Harvard pool.
