I hope so. I know Artlett and Pina were not playing. The concern this is early can’t be all about the margin of victory, but rather how they win. That what was concerning. It looked like they were running after goal plays every time. Clansen also had a hell of a game against UCSD with 17 saves. Cal gave up 23 exclusions to a much smaller UCSD team. I think had Clansen played a mediocre game they lose. If that had happened it would’ve felt very similar to when UCI beat Cal 2 years ago in a 13-5 win. I don’t think anyone thought UCI was gonna be a threat to make the NCAA semi final, but rather Cal’s season was over. I hope to be proven wrong though. It would be really nice to see them sneak into the final at the mpsf invite.
There seems to be a data issue and some games not registering. There are a few examples, but one is St Mary’s beat Bucknell but this is showing them as winless. There are several games that seem to have not registered.

I noticed that, too. It also has UCLA at 1-0 instead of 2-0, for example. Great idea and thank you polofan! Hopefully it gets fixed because I would definitely look at this each week if it’s accurate.
On it, part of it is due to games missing also on sites and fosh / 68 issues. Will work on bugs thx for reports

Notable absences from the first week of competition:
Cal - Aran Pina and Tomas Perrone
UCLA - Nate Tauscher and Luka Gladovic
LBSU - Gabi Acosta
UCSD - Landon Akerstrom
I’m sure there are others.
I heard Acosta probably won’t play for LBSU this season. I don’t see LBSU finishing No. 6 in the country without him. I think Gladovic is recovering from an injury he sustained before the U20 European World Championships. He is expected to play later in the season. Does anyone know why Pina, Perrone, Tauscher, and Akerstrom didn’t play last weekend?

Believe Perrone and Pina are both representing Spain at the Mediterranean Games.
Akerstrom is waiting for clearance for an injury from last season. He will also miss the MPSF invite. Tauscher and Price should be a battle throughout the season for the starting job.

I just remembered Everest’s quote from last season that “Louie Schuler may be the best recruit from the 2025 season”.
Is Shuler playing this season? He’s listed as a grad student?
I saw that he seems to be in the mix for the 2028 Aussie Olympic team.
I am pretty sure he was on the bench and helping the coaches but not sure why he is not playing
There has been no official announcement from LBSU, and there probably won’t be, but I’ve heard it it’s an academic eligibility issue. I haven’t been able to confirm this report.

He decided to no longer play.
Stice was a legit 2MD and a great person. Hope it all works out for him in the end.

I agree. I really enjoyed watching him play hs and club in NorCal. A top 3 player in his year in NorCal in my opinion. Best of luck to him.

This may not be unusual, but I do not understand it. Looking at this week’s CWPA pool. For the top 20 it has Brown ahead of Harvard. But when you just look at the Northeast conference it has Harvard in front of Brown. I would have thought these would be the same “voters”, but maybe the NE conference consist of a smaller group of voters. I would think Brown would be above Harvard having better results against CBU and Air Force, and played a backup goalie against UCD. But thats splitting hairs at this point. More curious why they would be different.
I know this means absolutely nothing btw. Just curious.
