What is your take on the UCLA game? It was a back and forth competitive game until the end.
For anyone just sitting around, this Pacific-UCLA game is turning into some fun. 5-4 Bruins at the half.

Final score 13-11 UCLA. Great game.
Pacific really came out and played it pretty evenly. I have now watched them play here and against Fordham and they impressed both times. Lot of freshmen and sophomores on UOP. That is looking like the best WCC team.
Price started over Tauscher. Are they going to rotate by game or is Price the starter?
I predict that UOP will beat Cal at least once this season and possibly USC.
Also, I feel like Georgaras could have made the difference for UOP today.
I don’t think Tauscher has played in UCLA’s first three games. Does anyone know why he isn’t playing?
In their first game today, CMS lost to UCSB by 1 in sudden-death overtime. An impressive performance. In their 2nd game, CMS lost to CSUF by 3. What do we know about CSUF this year?
One of the weakest showings I’ve seen from ucla in a long time. They just came in super lazy and got rattled. Never a good sign to see your goalie interact with the opposing team’s crowd. They subbed really loosely for most of the game so it’s kind of whatever. Pacific clearly prepped this whole week for this game based on how they guarded Dodd and their 6 on 5 plays. I don’t think anyone can gauge where they’re at til they play a team who preps for them. Two thoughts were going through my head while watching the game. They really miss Gray Carson, and who’s gonna step up for them offensively. The last two seasons they relied on Dodd a ton and it’s clear with the injury over the spring and summer that he’s clearly taking a backseat this season. Seems to be molding into a Mo Kenney facilitator role which is still huge for the team. Just not close to the 100+ goal seasons he had the last two seasons. The MPSF invite could be chaos. Is it possible we could see an at large bid from a non MPSF team for the first time since 2019? Probably not, but I wouldn’t say the chances are zero.

I mean LMU beat CSUF 15-5 running full shift changes. I liked one of their centers, Jason Joseph, Canada, he was hard to handle. Reminded me of Obert a little not big but slippery and crafty. looks like UCSB is very inconsistent I noticed Canepa going 3 of 10 shooting vs CMS.

Dodd’s role isn’t going to change. This is early season UCLA . Season doesn’t start until MPSF invite. And there is zero chance of a a non MPSF team making it. All four teams are going to be really tough to beat this year.
