The way too early 2026 discussion

Just looking at the college commit list to see which of the top teams from this year are losing a lot of high level talent this year without considering who is moving up to replace them:

These teams are graduating a lot of top talent:
Beast Boys
CCU
Greenwich
LA Premier
SFWPC
Vanguard

And the relatively younger teams that could return a lot of talent:
Newport
Del Mar
Mission
CIU
Trojan
CDM

I’m from NorCal and the team I’m watching the closest aside from CCU for 18u’s is Stanford. They will also have a strong team. While they graduated 2 seniors Chase is only 17 and will be back next year. They also will gain Richard Runge, Ryan Cole, and may move up Hunter Coleman.
Edit- I also forgot AJ McDonald( futures 16 MVP), and Ian Cheline who will also move up.

Easier way to predict the future is extrapolating the list of top 2024 16u teams and adding Mission, which fielded 2 18u teams in 2024. I assume we will see Beast Boys 2.0 , with even a cooler name as the 2025 experiment was a successful one.

That’s true but there are several 18s teams that had few or zero graduating players.

Edit. I misread your post.

I agree with your assessment. Additionally we should also look at what changed from the season because it is likely that some teams gained or lost players for example the 2024 16u team SJX lost most their players to other clubs. Same goes for Shaq and Foundation. Additionally that year some Atherton players were playing up.

Some teams may also have seniors that graduated but are 17 so may come back. This year I believe La Jolla had a UCSD player and some clubs may have the same thing.
