2026 CALIFORNIA
REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS (NEW)
According to a new USA water polo message, CA zones are replacing their evaluation event for selection to ODP National Championships with a CA Regional Evaluation Tournament. Each zone will send 2-3 teams. Tourney is at Woollett on February 28-March 1, 2026. Tourney will be used to select players for ODP National Championships teams.
Does anyone know when girls Evaluation rosters will be released for PAC and Central?
At least for youth girls, I see there is still one remaining camp in Fresno in mid Jan 26, so assume right after that, but could be wrong… Would love to hear if anyone knows differently.

Has anyone seen the TX regional schedule?
PSW has published their rosters for the event:
3x 14-member rosters for Dev,
3x 14-member rosters for Cadet, and
2x 16-member rosters for Youth.
I surmise that each Zone would communicate the rosters to the participants in their respective Zones.

That schedule is brutal for PSW White. Four games on Saturday with 45 minute, 45 minute, and 90 minute breaks.
Pretty crazy to make kids go to Ojai. A pain for everyone but the locals to get to as it’s way out of the way.

Chula Vista (for cadet) is convenient for no one. There are lots of great facilities in northern San Diego that would be WAY more user friendly. Wonder how much ODP site selection is based off pool availability vs rental price vs other.

Well, no better than kids from Santa Barbara having to go to Coronado a few years ago. Ojai does have a new aquatic facility that looks pretty nice!
CA has it pretty good when you consider how many kids from outside of CA are traveling to Dallas. Would you rather drive to Chula Vista or fly to Dallas? It could be worse.

No worries on Chula Vista. Everyone who makes the Boys’ ODP Nationals will get the chance to check it out.
Those of us with kids participating have the rosters. I just don’t know if it’s appropriate to share or put them at any disadvantage if they are the only zone to be published. Unfortunately it’s an all or nothing situation.

anyone know when girls PAC zone rosters would be released or what is taking so long?
I was not aware of the clinic on the 26th? Where is it posted?
On usa water polo, when I went to sign up my daughter for ODP camp, there is one CEN Youth Girls ODP Camp #3 left on 1/10/26. I assumed they would have to wait to announce rosters until that one is done, but again, maybe assuming wrongly?
