Greenwich Aquatics (Connecticut) is seeking an experienced and passionate water polo coach to join our staff and work primarily with our 16U and 18U Boys & Girls teams. We are looking for someone who is committed to developing athletes, fostering a positive and competitive team environment, and contributing to the continued growth and success of our program.
Position Responsibilities:
- Coach and develop 16U & 18U boys & girls water polo athletes.
- Plan and run engaging, structured practices focused on skill development, conditioning, and game awareness.
- Assist with team selection, game management, and travel competition planning.
- Foster a team culture built on discipline, sportsmanship, and accountability.
- Collaborate with the coaching staff to ensure program consistency and athlete development across all age groups.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience in competitive water polo (club, high school, or collegiate level).
- Strong knowledge of water polo fundamentals, tactics, and training methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate and mentor youth athletes.
- Ability to legally work in the USA.
Schedule & Compensation:
Practices are in the later evenings (6:30-9:30pm) with heavy travel across the country over the weekends. All practices are run out of the Greenwich YMCA. Competitive compensation is commensurate with experience.
