Good question, GirlDad. I wasn’t able to watch any of the games. If the stats shown on the tournament websitee are accurate, LBSU was missing center defender Rita Gurri, probably their best player. LBSU gave USC a good game in the first round (losing 13-11), so I expected a more competitive game against Fresno State.
Thanks for the update.
Yes, as usual, jeff was pretty much spot on with his predictions.
I was following the games on The FOSH. From what I could tell, it does not look like Cal gave either Stanford or USC a tough game. They can certainly score goals, but they will need to get their defense sorted out to beat the top 3 teams this year.
It looks like UCLA started off very slow in both of their games and were down 3-1 at half against USC and 6-3 against Stanford at halftime, but were able to come back in the second half. Adam was known to play the younger players quite a bit at the beginning of these types of games. Is Jason doing the same thing?
As predicted, Stanford’s defense looks to be exceptional. Holding both Cal and UCLA to 7 goals each is very impressive.
USC seems to be very inconsistent. Their close game against Long Beach surprised me, especially after having easily won 16-8 the previous weekend. They then held UCLA to 1 goal in the 1st half, only to let them score 6 in the 3rd quarter. I still think that they have the talent to play with anyone.
The upcoming MPSF games should be exciting.
UCLA has a few good players out as well injured Tauscher and one other i think.
High scoring game up here in Berkeley. UCLA up 6-5 after 1. I am not sure if either goalie has made a save yet.
Cal 11 UCLA 9 at half. Cal’s foreign quartet of Bogachenko, Varro, Drakotou and Voodrouw each have 2 goals and look fantastic.
Not sure that the refs want ANYONE other than UCLA to win…
Certain refs are UTTERLY bias…and we ALL know who we’re talking about…
Tell me I’m wrong…literally THUMB ON THE SCALE.
I actually think that it has been a well reffed game. The exclusions seem to be about even and I have not seen anything egregious one way or another.
I did not see Coach Simmons complaining too much and I do not think that there were any yellow cards. I am not sure what plays you referring to, but we will have to agree to disagree.
Anyways, UCLA won 19-18 in OT. Tough loss for Cal. As has been mentioned, their offense is very potent. They scored 15 goals in the first 3 quarters against Steele. Not sure if anyone has done that before. Almost all were outside shots. It was a very entertaining game to watch.
We definitely can agree to disagree.
Best of luck to Stanford, USC and UCLA as the three of them compete for a national championship.
The rest of the country might as well take February, March and April off…
Per Instagram, UM coach Churnside stepping aside - UM is 10-6 on the season right now.
Agreed. Didn’t think the most recent flagged post by ASNMP was bad at all
I have to agree here with the complaint about too many posts getting flagged. I had one flagged because I put a certain word in capital letters, and the system gave me a chance to review my post, and once I changed it to lower case, it was allowed, so no big deal, but the word in capital letters, was not an insult or a profanity, it was just a focus on that word.
KInda like saying 'I would NEVER do that" and it got flagged???
Or respond to requests for clarification as to why a post was flagged/deleted.
Hey all,
Thanks for this feedback. I can provide some context for the recent flags.
As far as I know, there hasn’t been an official release detailing why UM changed coaches.
We won’t allow posts that speculate or report rumors about the coaching situation at Michigan because speculation and rumors can be harmful and unfair to the coach, the coach’s family, the players, and the players’ families.
It’s well within bounds to discuss the impact on Michigan’s season.

Great effort by UCI women today to almost upset a super strong Hawaii. They had a chance to tie it all the way to the end play. Great job ladies

Does the NCAA put this out after each weekends round of games?
I do it. Stories are written, posted and tweeted out after each game is done.
Congratulations to UC Davis for beating UC Irvine on Senior Day
What was flagged now??
This week’s CWPA poll:
2026 Women’s Varsity Polls – Week 7/March 4 - Collegiate Water Polo Association
Arizona State gave Cal a very good game last week, losing by one goal. This may be Arizona State’s best team since 2021. Arizona State plays UCI this weekend.
Stanford plays at UCLA this weekend. Stanford beat UCLA by one goal earlier in the year. Anna Pearson earned 7 exclusions in that game. To beat Stanford, UCLA needs to convert a higher percentage of its 6-on-5 opportunities than it did in the last game.
