My predicted order for top 10 Central Valley Showdown
I am not sure that your predicted top 10 order for CVS is possible 
Just two examples:
Arroyo Grande and Soquel cannot finish both in the top four, thanks to somewhat strange seeding -unless Soquel is brining their JV team or missing many important starters, their seed #8 makes zero sense. Also, Buchanan will likely finish third in their group behind Soquel and AG and play for 9th-12th.
Merced and Clovis North cannot both miss on the top eight (one of them has to finish no lower than second in their group and play for 1st-8th).
P.S. If I had to guess I would predict the top five finishes to be Soquel, Leland, Miramonte, Clovis, and AG, followed, in some order, by Garces, Clovis West, and Merced/Clovis North.
Clovis West beat Leland 16-15 (OT) and Soquel beat AG 14:4. Has Leland’s #8 played? If so, a big win for Clovis West!
Leland is also missing their lefty #11. So they are down a starter.
Semifinals:
Miramonte 13, Soquel 11
Clovis 12, Clovis West 11
Championship game:
Miramonte 23, Clovis 9
3rd place game:
Soquel 17, Clovis West 5
Can anybody explain to me the wisdom of the tournament organizers ( Clovis West, Clovis?) who seeded Soquel as #8. I hope there is some nice explanation for this but it may look to some as an attempt to keep AG out of the top 4. Sort of, we give you number one seed but then force you to play the best ( OK, turned out to be the second best) team in the Quarterfinals.
P.S. Also, it looks like the score for the 5th place game on the CVS Results page should be reversed. It is Leland 20 AG 14, and not another way around. C.Flynn scored 11.

Summarize
Miramonte won the tournament beating SRV, Carondelet, and Campolindo! They looked pretty pedestrian at the scrimmages just a few weeks ago, but one should never underestimate Miramonte and their coach They are a youngish team and they tend to give gifts to an opposing team from time to time but the talent level is high and the team is quite deep. I like their #2- not the biggest/ tallest girl around, and probably even not the best player on the team, but what a motor! Acalanes is not necessarily deep, but their best players (#8 and #11) can do a lot of damage. Same thing can be said about Campolindo(#17 and #8 (?)), SRV (#8, #2, #7), and SHP (#3, #4). BTW, #7 from SRV is just a sophomore.

Great opening tournament and congrats to Miramonte. They looked good were able to swap lines throughout which is tough for a high school team. No superstars, but solid up and down.
It looks to be a competitive season and Campo, Carondelet, SRV, SHP, Davis and Acalanes can all compete. Throw in Soquel and I think 8 teams could potentially come out on top.
I think Miramonte’s best players (#22, #3, #2, and a few others) are not weaker than the best players from the other mentioned teams, but yes, Miramionte is deeper and younger. They are quite scary this year and will be even scarier in the next few years
Are there any other tournaments this September or October 2026 for Girls High School Varsity Water Polo? We missed the Sierra Shootout this year.
Many of the top Northern California girls’ teams will participate in the Davis Tournament, the Arroyo Grande Tournament, and the NorCal Invitational.
