2026 Men’s College Season Predictions

I know it’s early but any predictions? Ucla 3 peat? @anon39560856 would love to hear your thoughts…

I would wait to see the results of the transfer portal before making any predictions. However, as things currently stand, I think there is a good chance UCLA will not engineer a 3-peat. They will be losing a lot of key players, especially up the middle. Plus Chase Dodd. Would never count out a team with Ryder though. We’ll see what happens but my money is on Stanford, or maybe USC. I think Cal is one more year away from being a championship caliber team again, unless Kirk brings in another insane class of foreigners.

So many unknowns right now. Definitely need to see who is transferring where and what the final incoming classes look like. Cal is always a wild card with their foreign recruits. If Cal gets Akerstrom and another huge rumored name, plus a couple good foreign recruits, then they will very much be in the mix. Stanford has a great class coming in but I want to see if they get Herzer or see who their goalie is going to be (a huge potential hole). UCLA has a ton of returning fire power but they have a couple of big losses in Dodd and Carson. Is Tico returning? I have a feeling they will have a surprise foreign recruit we don’t know about. USC seems to be in the best shape. Losing Vukazic is a massive loss but they have a lot coming back. If somehow they get Martin for another year then they are the favorite. USC also has some big foreign names rumored to be coming in next year.

I will go with Stanford next year, but UCLA and USC are right there too. The loss of Temkin will hurt, but I have a feeling that they will find someone to step right up. I am not sure if DiMartire has another season or not, but if he leaves, those will be some big shoes to fill. Chase Dodd will be a huge loss for UCLA. They will need to find someone to fill Carson’s shoes at 2MD as well. USC’s loss of Vukazic is huge. Gregurvic will be missed as well, but otherwise they are bringing back a stacked team and will definitely be adding to it in the offseason. As was mentioned earlier, I think that Cal is a year or two away from competing with the the the others for a National Championship. Same with Fordham.

I do believe it will be Stanford. This is going to be the year for Flacks…

Exactly, goalie was my biggest concern but Flacks will have a replacement (if he doesn’t already)

I don’t know if I agree with Fordham competing for a title. I don’t see it happening

Hopefully Herzer finds a landing spot. He’s too good to rot on the bench at SC and would be an upgrade any place else.

Yes, hopefully he does. I remember @anon39560856 telling me more about the situation when Temkin transferred. Norcaldad thinks it could fold the same way because of how Mills was playing… I don’t agree with him that Mills is the better goalie, and I don’t think we saw Herzer’s best season. I agree he is too good to not play (as almost everyone agrees)
