Taking the year off so he can transfer next year. Stanford was the word going around
Believe Stanford is a confirmed transfer for him. He’ll have one year of eligibility remaining
JRH, the last reminder of the great Vanguard teams pre-pandemic.

I would think Pacific has some hard time recruiting given the location of the school or at least a hard time recruiting USA base kids. I wasn’t too impressed with Fordham defense, especially the goalie action.
Pacific gets some great internationals. It’s difficult for US kids unless they are local
It’s always going to be hard selling Stockton, CA to a domestic recruit. There are kids out there (even local kids) who’d rather not go D1 than be at Pacific and this is nothing to do with Graham. I’ve spoken with internationals who graduated Pacific who told me that they wish they knew where they were gonna be before committing to Pacific. Graham does a great job of selling the program to internationals and hiding the negative aspects of it. Their Greek freshman is as good as publicized.
As for Fordham, last year, their incredible team beat Brown 22-15 and Harvard 16-15. From the looks of it, the coaching staff and players really prioritize a few select games and marks those games on their calendar. I assume that Pacific and Harvard weren’t a huge focus for them and all the players have likely been looking ahead to the UCLA game at princeton on Saturday. I say this because of how well they played against Princeton, Pacific, and UCSD last year during the regular season. After the UCLA game, they’ll spend 3 weeks prepping for the Princeton game and another month prepping for Cal, Stanford, and LBSU after that.
According to the UCLA website, Ryder Dodd didn’t play in the Navy game because he was ill. I heard that Peter Castillo missed this weekend’s games because he was attending a wedding.
UC Davis beat Pepperdine 13–10… odd weekend of scores thus far.
I think UC Davis is underrated. Last year was a down season, but they had two back to back good recruiting classes, a strong goalie, and very good coaching. They have a really good recruit for 2026 so I think they’re back on track
I’ve always been a huge fan of Dan Leyson. He’s a part of the Adam Wright coaching tree which has produced excellent coaches. If Wright were to take the Olympic job in the future, I think Leyson alongside Princeton’s Litvak would be considered to fill in his staff
Biola is beating AirForce in the 3rd q…
But even more impressive is the AirForce livestream on YouTube. Holy Moly…clear pictures (like..can see the players faces and cap numbers at all times clear), clean graphics, and exciting and engaged commentary….and FREE!
Well done AirForce Academy!
Leyson is also part of the Jovan Vavic coaching tree - and also assisted for Ratko Rudic with Team USA.
Leyson is an excellent coach. He learned a lot from the great one, Rudic, and other fantastic coaches, in high school, college, and Barcelona.
When Leyson was helping Rudic, Wright was one of the players. Later, of course, Leyson helped Wright at UCLA- it is funny how life works sometimes.
It is crazy how poor a lot of the streams are for polo. And than some dads go live on twitch can the quality is better than the paid services. Clear caps, no glare and decent commentary are all you need. It would really grow the sport if we didn’t have five different subscriptions with so so quality. The technology is there. Maybe economics are not yet.
LBSU over Navy 13-11. Former Newport Beach LH attacker James Mulvey had 3 goals for Navy. Gabi Acosta had 4 for LBSU. The Beach not doing as good as people expected… also weird since UCSB beat this Navy team by 5.
