2025 Men’s College Season

When I played for SC our two goalies split games based on opponent. They might be doing something similar again. Mills also started vs UCSB for example.

Are they calling exclusion every time Fordham is on offense?

Obviously not the case

The delay is actually not that bad. Doing the same thing.

It’s being streamed by a ucla parent because dusty and Brian couldn’t be bothered televising a 1-4 match

Also couldn’t be bothered to provide live scoring, even without video that is so easy that 12U teams do it.

on the topic of not streaming, I think PacificBlue made a great point on another thread. With the current situation, I think cutting schools some slack is necessary. While I’m upset about it as well, context is important

Just a gut reaction but I feel okay about that 16-9 loss. Our power play offense cannot be much worse than it was today. Missed a five meter. Tresa just showed up for his first practice the last week of August. I will take this. After watching UCLA-Recco, I was definitely concerned about getting smoked here.

16-9, UCLA

I think this game really solidified the depth the Bruins have this year. You can tell how much they’ve played together and international play has had for the guys who played for Team USA has made for a positive impact for the roster. They look like they’re in their mid-season form which is scary to think about

Very hard to follow the far end of the pool on the stream. UCLA’s offense didn’t look as good in the 2nd half but it was hard to decipher what was going on. I’m not sure that’s the defense Adam would play in NCAAs. Never seen them give up that many exclusions. Tauscher was the standout from what I could see. No idea who scored without stats. Have to wait for the press release. I will say Liechty looks like more of scoring threat this year and could be a dark horse for 2028

Really good takes so far. If Dejan is smart, he will consider Leichty for 28 @Rbpolo .

As for the game, I’ll start by saying that UCLA is by far and away the best defensive team in the country. Holding Fordham to 9 goals — especially with the amount of exclusions they had — is very impressive. The way they move in and out of their zone is incredible. I don’t think Adam will be too disappointed. May or may not be a hot take, but the exclusion ratio was not equal and I thought the refs tried to keep the game as close as possible. With the amount of hype around this matchup, particularly on the east coast, I don’t think they wanted a double digit blow out.

One final note — Not many coaches would’ve taken the risk UCLA did and come out east and play Fordham. Adam did and his team controlled the entire game start to finish. The clear unanimous No.1 team in the country now and a tier above USC.

I’ve definitely noticed some big exclusion differentials on the east coast so far. Usually against Fordham, probably for the same reason you mentioned.

Stanford 12-6 over Davis. Impressive defensive showing. Di Martire had five for Stanford

What’s going on in the UCI v CLU game? 6:6 half time and now 8:6 middle of 3rd. Does no look great for UCI.

maybe its more telling about Cal Lu’s D3 prospects. They played UOP to a 5-5 first, then a 0-6 2nd, then pretty close rest of the way.

UCI 18-8. Not close, most likely started freshmen to get the experience and then brought in the staters later. These games are development games for D1 schools

UCSB on the ropes at half with Concordia and all of their international players

UCLA was 8/9 on 6/5 and Fordham was 6/14. Provenziani 0 goals. 10 different Bruins scored. 4 for Fordham. (Silvestri 4, Toth 3)

Those power play stats are brutal. I thought we weren’t converting and they were. UCLA just plays so smart and that for 8 for 9 reflects it.

This San Jose State-Davis game is pretty good right now. 9-7 SJSU late in the 3rd.
