Too Early 2025 Predictions

The Mihailo Vukazic news will be interesting. Adding a Cutino award finalist to the roster would be a huge help to both teams. I predict he will stay in norcal and join the bears. Would be a big help to Kirk after a major down year.

UCLA is apparently in the mix for Vukazic as well as Cal and USC. Cal has the greatest need.

Let’s go! Hope he ends up a Bruin!!

It seems like high scoring defenders thrive at UCLA. Vukazic would be a great fit for Adam Wright’s team.

I’m wondering if the reason we haven’t heard of more high profile transfers is that he in effect has frozen a significant amount of the transfer money that is out there. None of the schools can commit the money they have to any other player until they hear from him.

Hearing strong reports that Vukazic is close to joining USC

I believe a big part of the 2025 season will be this very top-heavy 2025 graduating class. There are very few big difference-makers. USC got a few, and they got transfer Vukazic and CAL got probably the top 2 center defenders in the US for 2025. Some notable guys that will probably be seeing minutes right away: Simone De Vecchis (Stanford), Gavin Conant (USC), Milan Sumich (CAL), Jackson Harlan (UCSB), Kai Takeshi Inoue (USC), Jackson Boettner (UCSD), Otto Stothart (Princeton), Griffen Tunney (Brown),

Hearing that Ben hallock is going back to Stanford for business school. Am I right in thinking he still has one more year of eligibility and could play if he wanted?

I am pretty sure his stint at Pro Recco would count at professional paid play. However he could play basketball or football since he still has 1 year left… At least that is how as I interpret the rules but they seem to be changing fast.

Does the whole “clock” thing still apply? Like once you play your first season don’t you have 5 years to finish 4 seasons? It’s been a while but I faintly remember that being a thing once upon a time.

But yea at least his water polo eligibility is definitely done.

Yes, what’s the current status and details of the old “5 years to play 4” rule? Enforcing that would be a good first step, unless we want more 25 year old seniors

Not sure where this belongs, but interesting to see that CBU is moving to the Big West in 2026

Not sure it will change the landscape much. Big west will now have 7 teams and WCC will have 6. They shift from UOP, Pep, SJ state, to UCI, LB and SD.
