Jeff and Clark, this posting says a lot about you. You follow thru on pre-written policies, hear your audience, discuss internally the intent of those policies, then make controlled changes, shows quite the leadership. Thank you.
Personally, I also understand that there are times I don’t agree with my Corporate Management, just like i don’t agree with referees sometimes. However, that’s the call and I must live with it.
Taking on moderation on a message board is a LOT harder than one would imagine. Legal issues aside, polo curmudgeons are a tough bunch. Thank you to Clark and Jeff for all that you do, its do not go un-noticed even though I imagine sometimes it feels thankless.

If this is the parent I think it is, I the he leaves it public for 48 hours, then makes it private to prevent it’s use as a scouting tool against that team later. Nothing to do with restrictions
