OCC pulled off a little bit of an upset this morning beating West Valley to make the final. Congratulations to Coach Dan Matulis and the Pirates.

For context, the last time the 3C2A had a men’s champion that wasn’t one of GW, LBCC or West Valley was 2000 (a really great Citrus team). You would then have to go back to the late 70s to find a a champion that wasn’t one of those three above teams.

We talk about parity in D1, but the big 3 of GW, LB and WV have dominated community college water polo in a similar fashion.
