What? You must be joking So Rb lost credibility if he was unaware that Wright had moved from Seal Beach several years ago? Are you trying to imply that to get credibility here one must have the full list of current home addresses of all D1 coaches?
I thought that understanding the game of water polo is more important…This board is not the Stalker 2025 convention, is it?
Adam had the entire UCLA water polo program and their families over to his house for a brunch a few years ago. There is nothing secret or requires stalking to know where he lives. He’s been very open about buying that house in Westwood.
Sure. Say I know where some D1 coaches live. What does it have to do with my credibility? I found that comment from Poloforlife, well, “interesting”. Anyway, time to move on
Agreed. I don’t know her, but good for her. She’s one of at least 3 SD Shores coaches that have moved from San Diego to the East Coach for coaching job(s). I believe she went from Shores to (without double checking) assistant at Harvard, to head coach now at Brown. Maybe somewhere in between? Congrats and hope it goes well
If memory serves, Coach Jackie went to USC between Harvard and Brown (talk about relocation!).
Other Shores/SD-based coaches that made the move East:
Alex Williams (Shores/Torrey Pines to Iona and then Siena, back in SD since last fall),
Jacob Castro (Shores/Torrey Pines to Siena and then to Harvard)
Kaylee Kastrup (Shores to Siena and then to Wheaton)
There may be others, but these come immediately to mind.
I don’t believe this is any reflection on USC or would it be for any other school. As an assistant coach, moving to a D1 head coaching job at a great school like Brown is a no-brainer.
Sarah’s replacement as assistant coach at UCSB, Emma Myall, is now confirmed as the new UCSB women’s head coach after being interim last season due to the firing of Kay.
An interesting way to conduct a job search. As it was required to do, UCSB posted a job announcement and solicited applications for its women’s water polo coaching position. Nevertheless, my understanding is that none of the other candidates, including some very good coaches, received an interview.
