Class of 2026 Commits - Men

Sometimes people decide on a school for factors other than solely waterpolo

It is very competitive out there for 2026 and beyond with only 4-5 spots for each school (at best) , especially for goalies. Great pick for Broncos!

For polo you may be right but a great school for anyone

This is certainly a way to help make sure you are picking the right school.

does anybody know where Murdoch baker matsuoka might go?

it may not be good to speculate on kids here and save this for actual 2026 commits. Even if someone knew where a player is leaning or hoping to go it would be careless to post it here before they actually commit.

ok so sorry about that

It’s tough for goalies out there. Many in college have red-shirted so still have lots of eligibility left. Roster limits mean three, four at most on a team. Many programs are at capacity. UCLA has a sophomore and three freshmen. USC has a junior, two sophomores, and a freshman. Similar story at other schools.

Very very difficult for goalies. Programs are stacked and was difficult for 2025 let alone harder for 2026 unless interested in Navy or Air Force which isn’t for everyone or d3 at a school the teen may not want academic wise.

Declan Murphy - SoCal/Servite - Air Force Academy

Strong lefty who will be good for them.

Flip from Navy to Air Force I believe.

Clarification:

Looks like there are two Declan Murphys that are Class of 2026 water polo players -

Declan Murphy, Tamalpais, Navy

Declan W. Murphy, Servite, Air Force
