Rigby Snapp has a lot of upsideâplayed well this summerâgood pick-up
Hudsen Parks (Newport Harbor/Newport Beach WPC) to NavyâŚvery solid center defender/true blue-collar player/good pick up for Navy
You were right NorCalpolodad. With the Hudson Parks commitment, Navy is at 11.
It will be interesting to see how many 2027 they sign considering they are at 20 for 2025 and 2026 even with 2 delaying. They graduated 5 from this past season and this upcoming year will have 4 seniors, so the team seems to be growing significantly.
There is a high chance that a few of them will not play all 4 years. They obviously do not have to deal with roster limits.
To that point, they have 10 sophomores. Last year they had 10 freshman. They have 7 Juniors, last year had 8 sophomores. They have 4 seniors and last year had 4 juniors. So they lost 1 player if the online roster is correct. This is just 1 year of data obviously, but not as much of a drop as I wouldâve thought. At that same run rate they will have ~38 players during the 2026 season next year.
Thatâs not remotely unusual in college water polo prior to the new roster limits some places will have, so I am not saying it is good or bad whatsoever. Navy is amazing and I would do everything I could to leverage this if I were a Navy coach. These athletes are choosing to serve and I think it is incredible. They could have 60 players and I think someone making the decision to go is making the right decision for them.
Back to 2026 commits!
I believe that the roster limits kick in this year and all current players on a roster are in a grace period thus technically all teams as of now are grandfathwred in so donât count. 26 will be the first class who counts towards the roster limit. That is my interpretation of the bylaws.
Navy and Air Force will never have a roster limit they do not pay athletes, they give them a free education.
Nathan Simoncelli - CDM HS - CDM Club - USC
USC has been loading up on set players the last few years. The national team is going the other direction. I guess we are at an interesting time for strategies on winning games.
Who are the best 26 players who havenât committed yet?
Here are some (not quite 26
):
| First | Last |
|---|---|
| Charlie | Baker |
| Owen | Malone |
| Aidan | Romain |
| Issac | Squires |
No worries i meant class of 26. Thank you for your list
I know; it was a joke.
Some really good players on that list by the way.
Excellent players on the list. I was under the impression that this cycle is slower than last year so I went back to check the 2025 thread. It is very similar to last year in terms of the pace . The âtraffic jamâ tends to clear late August and into October.
Iâm surprised by even the few Ivy announcements. I didnât realize that they could/would make offers this early. If itâs just from LLs (even those would be early), the announcements are a little premature.
Caleb Yost? Who does he play for?
Loyola / Trojan. Lefty.
