Hey all, please see pinned topic in the High School - Boys category.

I’ve consolidated the data into the linked spreadsheet and have granted a few folks editing access to keep it up to date.

Shoutout to @Gibson for providing the activation energy on the boy’s side!

I’d recommend here we post updates with a format that’s conducive to being imported as a comma separated value file.
Example:
school, name, hs, club
CBU, Kendall Donahue, El Segundo HS, SoCalWP
Villanova, Reia Kimi, Punahou HS, SET

This will make it a simply copy-paste job into the spreadsheet.

–

If this becomes annoying for us to maintain, we’ll go back to keeping this data in a thread OR see if there’s a better workflow for us.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns

May users suggest edits? I noted that our HS seniors’ data are slightly off.

Jack Mason attends Torrey Pines HS, but is listed as attending DMWPC (which is his club, listed elsewhere as Del Mar), while Torrey Pines’ senior captain Ryland Smith, a SD Shores club player, does not have her club listed.

You can DM me with any edits or additions to the boys list you don’t want to make publicly. .

This should be verified as I heard different from a couple players.

I think this was already posted but didn’t see it on the spreadsheet.

Question as someone new to all of this. Is it possible for a 2025 senior to still commit somewhere? Or has that ship already sailed? And, is the walk on process ever a good option?

I would expect to see more commits, as late as may. you could see D3 commits after that… Most commits are technically walk ons. 15-20 percent maximum are getting scholarship money and most are partial scholarships.

Tldr: yes it is

I think the window for committing or at least the school making a “fun, flashy” Instagram post has passed.

I technically walked on my D1 team, since I was near the bottom of the recruiting list. I had not confirmed that I was going to play for the school until Feb/March of my senior year.

Taking the finanaces out of it, I felt no different that the number 1 recruited player in my class/team.

Not bragging but just to your last point, I walked on but ended up getting the MVP award my senior year in college. Just because you weren’t invited to a top 4 recruiting trip or got dozens of emails and letters from schools doesn’t mean you can’t play college water polo
