I don’t think so. Believe you need ESPN unlimited
UCLA going to the press was critical and it was really led by Carson’s defensive push on George. The 3 (or was it 4) possessions in a row when they couldn’‘t score was huge also with Tauser making some great stops.
It’s on ESPNU I believe.
Anyone know how to get EspnU? I’ll be watching on my iPhone. When I go to the AppStore on my iPhone and search espnu, the only relevant thing that comes up is the espn app, which I already have. When I go on my espn app I can’t find anywhere to upgrade to espnu. I watched last year so there must be a way, but can’t seem to figure it out this year!
Edit: found it. For those who are also wondering, if you go to the espn app, then settings, then subscriptions, you can add espnu there.
ESPNU is available thru most cable providers. It’s also available on YouTube TV (must have subscription).
While every school has its fair share of boorish fans and no school has a monopoly on the obnoxious fan, my personal experience over the past 35+ years of observation has been that USC fans have, in fact, distanced themselves from the pack for the ignominious distinction of worst fans in the game.
One drunken USC adult was yelling at the top of his lungs slurring nonsense USC’s #1 rated football team and #1 rated water polo team as he teetered on falling into the pool towards the end of a game at Cal;
At a tournament at UCLA, a middle aged USC supporter, sitting by himself, started berating two parents of a Stanford player for not sitting down expeditiously enough. And he wouldn’t let it go, hurling profanities and invective which prompted the father of the Stanford to approach the guy as ask him what was wrong. Fortunately, he left;
At the NCAA finals at USC two years ago, the usc women’s water polo was going on and on about how “their high school (Mater Dei)” cost more than the public universities competing that weekend, UCLA and Cal. Next level obnoxiousness seemingly borne out of institutional cultural acceptance of bad behavior.
Am sure everyone has examples of other schools misbehaving but, again, USC always seems to outdo their competitors when it comes to fan boorishness.
Not to diminish anyone’s experience — every fanbase has its moments, good and bad — but this thread is starting to orbit the same topic over and over. Maybe a separate thread dedicated to fan behavior would keep things cleaner. Very unnecessary IMHO.
We’ve got an NCAA final on deck, and it deserves the focus. The teams, the matchups, the tactics — that’s why we’re all here.
Agreed!
And allow me to apologize for going down the rabbit and unearthing past experiences which should have no bearing on an amazing match set to cap off a tremendous season
Mea culpa
If you don’t have YouTube TV already and want to save $30, YouTube TV has a free trial with ESPNU on it!
Tauscher playing very well. USC has the early opportunities but they aren’t converting
Chase Dodd and Brinkema scoring is a good early sign for UCLA’s offense
Thanks! Already spent the $30 so I’ll guess I’ll be using ESPNU for a month
Not a fan of that ejection against Vukazic. Looked like pretty good D with his arms up and no grabbing prior to entry
With all the talk on this forum being about the Euros on USC, it’s American and SHP product Jack Vort with two big goals
Amazing response from USC in the second quarter. Ryder needs to be more involved in the second half.
That was a disaster quarter offensively for UCLA
Worse defensively. 5 USC goals in the quarter.
Great game so far. UCLA’s defense looked great for a while. Not so much in the second.
SC needs to keep getting the ball into 2 meters. If their hole sets keep opening up the perimeter and maybe get a natural goal or two that’d be huge
Tough to not convert on that counter. Good timeout by Pinta in an effort to calm things down.
