I believe that Brinkema played, just not very much.
It’s very odd to have a 0 plus minus on 6-8. He must of barely played
Death, taxes, and USC Men’s Water Polo winning the MPSF tournament
Vukazic has made the biggest difference on the USC team this year. A lockdown defender who can control the ball and score from anywhere. I don’t think they beat UCLA this many times without his presence in the water.
I need people to start explaining the rationale for Princeton over Davis. Am I the one missing something here?
Well it hasn’t happened yet. Let’s see what happens tomorrow. I do think if it’s close that the Harvard and Iona votes would lean towards their east coast member. I’m not sure UOP is going to do Davis any favors in that room
I say SJSU takes down Fordham.
His shot is so strong the gk cant do anything, I haven’t seen him blocked much this year.
Looks like the bracket is out:
So odd considering the selection show is at 9am PT.
Yeah, the “brackets” are still blank. Perhaps this is the schedule based on RPI. We’ll know for sure in a bit!![]()
Probably an intern confused get ready with get it done ![]()
Leave it to the NCAA to mess up a schedule release. Glad they got it right, though. USC is deserving of the No.1 seed, Davis at No.6.
I just watched the show not realizing the bracket was out. No surprises and came in just as I expected.
Congratulations to Concordia for a great season and making the tournament.
Assuming Fordham gets by San Jose State–and I think that game could either way–USC-Fordham could turn into a real slug-fest.
Not sure I necessarily agree with Davis giving UCLA a better game. Princeton is definitely the more talented bunch, but probably hasent performed to their potential all season. Kovacs was out when they came out to California and after adjusting to a true freshman goalie, they had a good game with USC. Everyone who’s talked with Adam knows how much he hates coaching against Dusty. I’m sure he feels similarly about Leyson, but I think Princeton has more talent and can cause more problems for them. Historically, this matchup has been very close post COVID with the recent one being the outlier
What would a another coach do?
I’m not sure San Jose state is going to be able to keep up with Fordham. They had a close game when they played this year, but it was the 4th game on Fordhams road trip and the day after the Stanford game. I just never know what San Jose State team is going to show up on offense, and even their best offensive games don’t impress. I think Fordham wins by a few goals but their goalie is definitely something to be concerned about.
Comparing last year to this year is apples and oranges.
This year’s USC team is a lot better than last year’s Trojan team, who limped into MPSF facing a must-win scenario, while UCLA was virtually guaranteed a number 1 seed at NCAA’s, regardless of what happened at MPSF.
And this year’s UCLA team has not seemed to be firing on all cylinders over the last several weeks.
My guess is neither team really tapered for MPSF, but I would think both of them would have been gunning for that number 1 seed, preferring to face Fordham over Stanford in a potential semi.
Fair points. We shall see in a couple weeks
