Should be 4-1. Temkin made a save inside the net and the ref missed it. UCLA 5 man is killing it
3-2 USC after 1. There was a lazy pass back to Mills at the end of the first that led to a ball under and five meter call which brought the Golden Bears to 1. Pina is playing with a wrap on his wrist and had a nice five meter save.
Pepperdine has augmented the diving boards in front of the cameras with some nice ferns to block most of the right end of pool :(.
Stanford 6-5 after 2 on UCLA. Temkin is really playing great. Forer had a shot straight on about 7-8 meters out that was just beautiful for Stanford’s fifth goal.
6-5 Stanford at half. Some cracks in UCLA’s offense carrying over from the USC game. Stanford doing a good job neutralizing the centers.
USC 7-6 on Cal at half. USC was down 6-5 and scored two quick ones to end the first half. The last one happened when Lopez-Duart made a nice steal on a bad pass. Led to a counter opportunity which resulted in a five meter score.
Nice job by USC to have the band at the game.
Stanford up 9-8 on UCLA after three. Stanford was up 9-6 and gave up back to back natural goals out of set to Castillo and Szeczi to trim the gap and got the Bruins fired up. Should be a fun 4th.
Cal up 9-8 to end the third quarter.
UCLA-Stanford 11-11 in the 4th with 3:36 left. Big few minutes left in both of these games.
11-11 in UCLA-Stanford. 1:39 left. UCLA just called time out and are up on the 6 on 5.
11-11 after four. UCLA-Stanford headed to OT.
Temkin has been terrific for Stanford
USC 12-9 over Cal for the win.
Really good first win over CAL, was REALLY surprised by the no-call at 1:30 in the 4th that led to a USC steal + counter attack goal when it was 10-9. Anyone in the stands have a better angle on that one?
Cal’s possession coming out of the timeout when they had a chance to tie the game was just awful.
UCLA-Stanford still 11-11 heading into the second overtime period. Temkin is really playing well for the Cardinal.
Nobody wants to shoot for UCLA
12-11 UCLA on a gorgeous 6 on 5 pass from Dodd to Szeczi. A minute and change left.
12-12. Gheorge with the backhand!
45 seconds left. Time out called. Game tied. UCLA up on the power play.
