14u Girls Club 2025-2026

Has anybody been watching any of the 14u girls games all around. What are people think of CHAWP 14 girls? I’ve seen them multiple times. They are tough and not deep. Yet they are playing good teams hard. Beaten SBWP a few times, lost by 1 to LAMO, whipped Dons at CalCup. They have beaten some good teams. Seems like they came out of know where all of a sudden. There are two girls on that team that are studs. They seem well coached. Dark horse outside of the top 3. Just keeping things interesting. Tired of hearing about the top few teams all the time. Love underdogs

I do not know much about CHAWP girls program, but I have a question. The 14u CHAWP group you are talking about, is it actually a CHAWP/ Rancho Tsunami combo team? There used to be two Gold level age group girls teams in the IE area, CHAWP and Tsunami. Now there is only one at the 14u level (CHAWP)…

Nobody is beating Newport 14u girls this year.

I’d give 908, San Clemente and Patriot a shot. It’s a small shot, but still a shot. Last year I thought the same about that Patriot 14u girls Squad and Newport took them in the final. Once you’re in the final you never know..

Duh! J/k around here. But really, who cares honestly about those top 3 teams. They basically beat up on each other all year and they have the resources. Same old same old. Let’s start talking about upsets and the 4-10 place. Anyone of those teams can place top 4. Too close to call. I’ve seen all those teams and they are so close. Comes down to error free games

What about Nor Cal teams? Stanford Lamo Diablo

I’m with ya. I have seen those teams. Can count out NorCal. Diablo looks really good. Just going back.

I watched more water polo than I probably should have :joy:

  1. Newport
  2. Patriot/Diablo
  3. 908
  4. San Clemente, CHAWP, Commerce, LAMO Stanford, Dons, Shores Black, Santa Cruz. You choose. Toss up games. I’m telling ya though. CHAWP is a dark horse for top 5. Don’t sleep on them. As much as people may not like them, they produce D1 athletes.

As far as I know, it’s only CHAWP. Supposedly Tsunami 14s disbanded and many went to Foothill. CHAWP is mostly Corona, but word is the girls that are super good are from Redlands/Palm Desert area

CHAWP have 2 very good players. That’s enough to elevate you to top 10 if you have a decent supporting cast and goalie in 14u girls. Santa Cruz is.a similar composition. No surprise they played a 1-goal against each other at SD Cup. You are correct 4-10 will a bunch of close games.

Hard to judge this group as the better girls play up. The girls that go to private schools and competitive open public schools play up on 16’s. They look towards their high school future vs. playing against 6th , 7th and 8th graders. Lots of feeder clubs preparing for high school season !

All things aside I wish all teams the best. It only helps girls water polo. We gotta keep advocating for the girls in this sport

Diablo has been more dominate this year, but most of the games are competitive with a full roster. Lamo/stanford/santacruz take turns beating each other. We’ll find out on Sunday who is currently on top.

Such good teams. All ways a challenge. I would be remiss if I left SB805 out

I’ve watched a lot of 14U girls polo this year as well, my daughter has played against most of the top teams. As someone else wrote this age group can be very tough to predict. There are girls playing up and some of the top teams like 908 seem to always have at least a few top players missing. Newport is the clear number one. Next tier I’d put 908 and San Clemente in with Patriot and Diablo. I agree with the rest of the next tier pmj93 listed except I think Commerce is a tier below the rest. I haven’t seen CHAWP play so I’m a little skeptical but we’ll see!

I only saw Chawp play their last two games and they got blown out by Newport and Patriot, but it’s tough to evaluate a team when they’re up against teams like that. Anyone can finish 5-10 for sure

908 you never really know who is going to play in the summer they are losing at least one that I know of two national team but that happens to all the top teams

Best to just enjoy it as a parent or coach to an extent at this age level, it’s all about development and hopefully they find a love for the game that carries into high school
