Would love to hear what gear people love (or maybe don’t love!) in our realm of water polo.
Favorite company for custom suits, caps, or apparel? Favorite ball? Or a reason you love one over another?

For swim paddles, Finis Mantas are my favorite. There are no rubber tubes and they fit nicely on top of one another in the swim bag.
For goggles, our go-to for the past 5 years have been the Arena Cobra Ultra Swipes. They were originally purchased for use in races, but quickly became the only goggles my kid would wear.
The rebounder we use is the Quickplay. It is a rebounder. You throw a ball at it and the ball bounces back like with any other rebounder, but it costs less to buy.
For suits. Turbo or Delfina. Very similar, great quality, long lasting and very customizable. Caps are the same. Turbo caps seem a little bigger to me. kap7 and Winart balls are very similar. Delfina ball has different seams. I don’t like the Malsten goals, but they are popping up everywhere. Avoid speedo and tyr for suits. Avoid mikasa balls.
My guys prefer K7 balls. Mikasa could be useful to have a set of 4-6 new balls if the team will play with these during a tournament (but that would be key info to have before the tournament).
Balls wise I would go with Kap7 or Delfina. Mikasa balls are just too hard for high schoolers to grab.
Game caps- I highly recommend Ducko for their unique design while still staying true to team’s colors!
Suits- kids seem to like Delfina better but Ducko is also on the rise as well.
What about mouth guards? The only player I have seen wearing one was Ben Hallock of team USA. For age group kids, especially those playing center, would seem to make a lot of sense.
Well I’d say the CD’s need them more ![]()
SISU mouthguards. Don’t look elsewhere.
On this note, I have to disagree on Kap7 and Delfina being of different quality because in my experience/opinion Delfina has a better price point if you’re ordering large quantities of suits.
As a women’s coach, last year with my Kap7 suit we had a lot of stitching issues (especially along the zipper) and while we got good customer service for replacing them, it happened too many times to be a coincidence. So after trying Delfina the feedback from our athletes was they really like them for the feel of the fit and no stitching issues yet. I think a lot of places in OC prefer Kap7 as they are a staple of Irvine and Delfina/S&R is based out of Torrance. But if you had to choose, I’d put my money on Delfina
