Students are not required to make their decision to transfer before the end date of the window. The dates are simply the window in which the student-athlete must begin their transfer process.
I think it’s May 1 - May 15th. In the spring it’s only 2 weeks. The longer portal is right after the fall season Dec 1 - Dec 30.
It would mean that contact was potentially made before entering the portal. That is what I meant. No way to prove it if it is a coach telling a player to tell another player he would take him…
When posting player names in the portal it would be helpful to also list the school they are leaving so people don’t need to go look it up. I assume if someone knows the player in the portal they also know the school.

You can transfer out of Air Force? So it’s not like you were also enlisted?
usually within the first two years you can leave a military academy with no requirements
Only NCAA Coaches have access, and some athletic department staff. They are sharing transfer portal information, unless the student-athletes themselves are publicly announcing that they are in the portal.
Is it official that the roster spots are being cut to 24, or there is still a possibility to stay at 26?
Not official. House settlement not yet approved.
Most likely that will be determined Wednesday by the Judge. All indications are NO, not yet! A few other threads have info on this.
Latest report I have seen. Not sure how this would work “you can get your spot back”??? I guess this could be a case where an existing player was cut and is still at the school perhaps.

The article first says, “Berman said he created a chart listing the several dozen athletes who lodged objections to the agreement based on roster limits. He said he thinks almost every one will be offered a solution.” The article then says, “It’s a proposal that could make more overall scholarship money available but could cost thousands of athletes their spots on rosters in moves that began shortly after Wilken gave preliminary approval to the deal last fall.” The article follows that statement with "We’re still negotiating, and I’m confident that everyone who lost a roster spot will have a chance to get a spot back,” he said.
The question I have is what is Berman’s agreement going to offer? A return of roster spots to the few dozen objectors or to the thousands who were going to be cut if the judge accepted the agreement a couple of weeks ago?
Clear as mud seems to be the standard with this fiasco. My only guess is what I mentioned in that they remove the limits and players who were cut from teams could be offered back there spots. I would venture to say that train has left the preverbal station for many.

Solid pick ups for LB, they should be very strong next season. Should be a slugfest with UCI.
