2026 HS Boys Tournaments

All of today’s games are being live-streamed.

Great first quarter between JSerra and CC. Shoutout to JFran for commentating. Great job with the play by play and color commentary. It’s always nice hearing the commentator use the players’ names. It is much smoother and more fluid to follow the game that way especially when it can be hard to tell who is who on camera. Much appreciated.

It’s available for free on the link posted by @jeff above.

It was the only game that wasn’t up yet earlier today but is available now. I deleted that post so hopefully no one else pays to watch it. Lol

Has anyone seen the Steve Pal schedule for next weekend yet? May be too early still…

@WhatThePolo Great minds think alike. . . was just looking for these data too!

Here is a link to a Google document for the Steve Pal Memorial Tournament. There will probably be a few changes to the schedule for the Kimbell Division.

Note added on October 7: Here is a link to the revised schedule for the Steve Pal Memorial Tournament:

The seeding appears way off for that top division.

How did Greenwich get permission to play in a CIF tournament? I thought both Brunswick & themselves were banned from it?

WaterPoloFan398,

The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) ruled that Brunswick is ineligible to play in California high school water polo tournaments because they are not a member of the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC). Brunswick is trying to find a way to satisfy the California requirement and maintain its membership in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) because membership in the NEPSAC is critical to the other sports at Brunswick. Under existing rules, Brunswick cannot be a member of the NEPSAC and the CIAC. Greenwich, a public school, is a member of the CIAC and therefore satisfies the CIF requirement.

What needs to be done in order for Brunswick to satisfy that requirement while also staying in NEPSAC? Would love to see them come out to California to play, especially while Jackson Shaw and Peter Saunders are still there. They would give some of the top teams a run for their money.

100% agree on the seeding. There is no way Orange Lutheran can be the 4th best team there. Santana is really strong, as is San Clemente and Buena and Royal both beat OLu last week?

Not sure what they used for seeding of course, but last week CIF had OLu ranked 16 in SS so maybe that was it. After those 2 losses on the weekend, you mentioned, they did move down quite a bit this week but I’m sure that was after the fact. Those games were close and could have gone either way. Should be fun to see how it pans out

Here is a link to the Google document for next weekend’s North vs. South Challenge:

As an added attraction, Miramonte will host Cathedral Catholic and Campolindo will host JSerra in non-league games on October 15.

Clovis North being in the third division is interesting. Same with Clovis East in the second. I’d think they’d be competitive with most of the teams in the first division.

It’s SAT and PSAT weekend for a lot of athletes and schools. Maybe not traveling down with full squad? :man_shrugging:

So no showcase games at SHP on Thursday this year?

This has been an issue since forever (saw it since 2018 with my HS athletes). Would love to see (for the younger set) some movement on this particular weekend so that teams are not forced to travel/play without Junior athletes or so that Junior athletes are not forced to forego the National Merit Scholarship exam.

That’s correct. Although they aren’t “showcase” games associated with the North vs. South Challenge, Miramonte will host Cathedral Catholic and Campolindo will host JSerra on Thursday.
