[2026 Boys Water Polo - CIF Southern Section](https://cifss.org/brackets/2026-boys-water-polo/?_sports=boys-water-polo)

Here are my predictions for the CIF Southern Section Open Division and Division 1 Playoffs that begin next week. I think the top four seeds could win the Open Division. I think three schools could win the Division 1 title (Dos Pueblos, Mira Costa, and Laguna Beach). There could be several “upsets” in the first-round Division 1 games.

**Open Division**

1. Newport Harbor. Newport and JSerra have split their two games this season. It won’t surprise me if JSerra beats Newport.
2. JSerra. The potential semifinal game between JSerra and Harvard-Westlake should be close.
3. Harvard-Westlake
(3.) Oaks Christian

**Division 1**

1. Dos Pueblos. The potential championship game between Dos Pueblos and Mira Costa could go either way.
2. Mira Costa
3. Laguna Beach. The potential semifinal game between Dos Pueblos and Laguna Beach should be close.
(3.) Buena
