2026 boys' high school scores

St. Francis 10 Soquel 6

Big win for St. Francis, and they have two transfers that become eligible at the end of September that will help them.

Soquel definitely has better water polo ahead of them, this is certainly their year to do something big in CCS with a lot of seniors on the roster this fall.

The on-line schedule/bracket for the Long Beach Tournament is complete except for one still unreported score. However, that score is found on the CIF schedule/results tool:
Laguna Beach 13, Poway 12.

The DLS versus San Ramon game score was 11 to 9

Interesting. Those SRV kids have been together for a long time and word was this was their year.

MaxPreps shows DLS winning 12-9. If that is incorrect, the score should be corrected because the North Coast Section uses MaxPreps rankings to determine which schools are invited to the end-of-season NCS Tournament.

Score corrected on MaxPreps by SRV Coach. Still scratching head - why the larger margin original reporting?

Laguna 19 - Crean Lutheran 8

Loyola 10, HB 5
Newport 16, Edison 1
HW 17, Notre Dame 6
Bishop’s 12, Poway 8
Carlsbad 14, Foothill 8

I believe the last score is meant to say Carlsbad vs 'Foothill"

cbarrot,

I would prefer the last score in jeff’s post to stay the way it is. After all, it is one of those rear instances when water polo is shown to prevail over football. Gives hope to us, mere mortals.

Too late Jeff changed it :slightly_frowning_face:
We could have left it, and go with the story that Carlsbad invited their football team to get in the water, and they beat them 14-8

That would be pretty impressive for the football team.

A combination of getting older and failing to notice that my phone’s automatic spellchecker changed “Foothill” to “Football.”
