Not yet, but I hope to do the same to other age groups.
The teams in 12u I find impossible to predict are CCU, SJX, and Lamo. Any of those three can beat any other of the three at any given hour, and they all get to round robin in pt_M on day #2.

Canât wait for that M bracket, honestly. The best part is that whoever ends 2nd and 3rd will have to face off with a team from another bracket who did not walk the gauntlet that day. Itâll be a high level polo vs freshness competition.
@marco (if you know, and given the quality of the data youâre posting, Iâm thinking you might!), Where did the open slots at the bottom of the 12U Championship come from? Is that from Zones not sending their full complement of teams (seems like zones with teams in Classic would move them up to Championship if a club were to opt out)?
With the odd exception, they come from variance in participation rates of non-California zones.
USAWP over-provides opportunity to non-California zone teams to attend Session 1 and Session 2 JOs in California. In years where non-Cali teams take more of the opportunities, the Cali zones lose slots. In years where fewer non-Cali teams choose to attend, then Cali zones gain slots. The changes in zone allotments appear as lottery spots at the tail end of the bracket.
It isnât usually a Classic versus Championship thing, but a Texas versus California thing. Many non-California teams have a better experience in Texas due to it being easier to get wins there, and are opting out of California.
There is also the occasional emergency that pops up. Last year in 12u Boys Championship, NEZ had committed three teams but at the last minute one had to back out. PAC stepped up and CCU B filled the open slot.
Major props, Marco! Iâve been looking into other age groups, trying to play it out, but feel like itâll be worthwhile waiting for you. Much appreciated!
Items of note:
The 10u Boys division is still new and there is a lot of churn in the allotments. Nearly a quarter of the entire bracket are lottery slots. The 10 teams to fill those lottery slots are: LB Shore Aq, 908 B, Commerce B, Temple City B, NBWP B, CDM, San Clemente B, North Irvine B, SOCAL B, and a SWZ team.
The brackets include a handful of âupsetsâ, but the one I highlighted is Commerce beating SHAQ to claim the final spot in pt_P. I see the best three teams in 10u Boys this season as Del Mar, Patriot, and Commerce in that order, with Del Mar being the heavy favorite. Del Marâs A team is unbeaten this year in 10u.
For whatever reason, it is hard to beat the same team twice in the same tournament. With the way these brackets worked out, Del Mar will likely face both Commerce and Patriot twice. Del Marâs path will see Commerce in round-robin, Patriot in the quarter-finals, Commerce in the semi-finals, and Patriot in the finals.
Having watched the 10u division at most major tournament this season I agree with most of your analysis and predictions here. Personally I could see Greenwich take SoCal in the N bracket.
I agree with your top 3, but after seeing how close Patriot was to Del Mar at SD Cup, and watching how they played at USCC, Iâd say the gap is virtually nonexistent at this point in the season. Del Mar is still favored, as theyâve been undefeated, but youâre right. Itâs hard to beat someone twice in the same weekend and Del Mar has the hardest route to the final.
The three spots lost from the previous yearâs 16u Boys bracket were: #37-2nd SEZ, #38-3rd SEZ, and #46-3rd PNW. The three teams who will occupy seeds 46-48 are: SET, Santa Cruz, and Capital.
The three spots lost from the previous yearâs 18u Boys bracket were: #26-9th PAC, #39-5th CEN, and #40-4th PSW. The three teams who will occupy seeds 46-48 are: Monarchy, the 3rd MTN team, and the 2nd SEZ team.
In both the 16u and 18u brackets, I have not done any analysis beyond the how the seeding will look on day 1. I will leave that up to those on this board who know this landscape better than I do.
So if Monarchy gets the 48th spot, bracket A in 18s will be all SOPAC.
Love it, Marco!! Thank you.
Has anyone done this for the 2025 14u Boys Projected Bracket?
Marco nailed the 14s.. great work.
Can someone explain how in 16U Championship, North Irvine is playing as âTeam Vegasâ in the 13 seed and Imperial is âTeam Vegasâ in the 38 seed? These are Mountain Zone allocations.
USAWP website says there was no qualifying tournament for Mountain Zone. Qualifying was determined by Conference Call.
I hope this isnât clubs opting out of their Zone Quals, then flipping athlete club affiliations for a direct Championship qualification with handshake and a phone call from another Zone.
Can anyone set the record straight?
Separately not to high jack the post, when does schedule 2 come out for girls?
Sounds shady to me. North Irvine is SOPAC and should not be using another Zoneâs allocation. I would want to know if the same person that was involved in putting together the Team Vegas team a couple years ago and filled it with Brazilians (which led to USAWP implementing the foreign restrictions) is also involved with this.
If I had to guess probably Mon or Tues.
And to the Team Vegas thing, we played them in JOs last year and they seemed to be heavily from LAWPC with a just few kids playing with Vegas suits. Just stating what I saw and will let others chime in if they experienced anything different.
Their rosters for quicksilver are posted. A lot of Orange County kids.
Yes, but they donât add much and you canât forget the Brazilian Pan Am games MVP who suddenly showed up for Super Finals two weeks ago for themâŚ
